Error “QuarkXPress requires a multi-core processor supporting the SSE3 instruction set. As this system doesn’t support SSE3, the installer cannot continue installing QuarkXPress on this machine"

Background

SSE3 is the third iteration of the SSE instruction set for the IA-32 (x86) architecture.

The most notable change is the capability to work horizontally in a register, as opposed to more or less strictly vertical operation of all previous SSE instructions.

QuarkXPress 10 requires a processor offering the SSE3 instruction set. In case of old machines which do not have the SSE3 instruction set, QuarkXPress 10 installation will fail.
