Port Conflict Between QuarkXPress Server Manager 7 and Apache Server

Open the file “server.” which is stored in the following location:

Applications:Quark:QuarkXPress Server Manager 7.2:Server:apache-tomcat-5.5.16:conf:server.

Change the Shutdown port to 8008 and save the server. file. Then restart QuarkXPress Server Manager.

Background:
QuarkXPress Server Manager will normally use port 8080 at shutdown. This value is stored in a file named server.. This value can be changed in the file, which will allow Server Manager to shut down without closing port 8080. This will ensure that Apache Server can continue to run.
