When developing an XTension for QuarkXPress Server, the Config file and permissions set in the XTension can't have any kinds of corruption. In this particular case, both the Config file and permissions in the XTension were corrupted. This is what was causing the crash.
To resolve the issue, rebuild the XTension before loading into QuarkXPress Server, and ensure that the Config file and permissions are not corrupted.
