Non-CMYK Images Do Not Display Embedded Color Profiles

There are two possible solutions to this color display discrepancy:

  1. Upgrade to QuarkXPress 8, where the image source profile will be converted to the monitor profile if you have not chosen to use a Proof Output setting.
  2. In the Color Manager Preferences in QuarkXPress 7 or 8, create a new Source Setup and check Color Manage RGB Sources to RGB Destinations.

QuarkXPress 7 is not honoring ICC profiles for RGB images when displaying them on screen, such as the default Proof Output settings (View > Proof Output > Composite RGB) or any RGB Output Setup.
