How to Apply the Bleed Box of a PDF When Importing into QuarkXPress

QuarkXPress 7 and 8 both have the ability to read the bounding box values described in PDF files as they are imported.

Select the Bleed box while importing the PDF into QuarkXPress. To do so:

  1. Draw a Picture Box
  2. Go to File > Import.
  3. Highlight the PDF you want to import.
  4. In the Import dialog, Click on the PDF tab of the Import dialog.
  5. In the Bounding Box to Use popup menu, select Bleedbox.
  6. Click Open.
Note!: You can also select Mediabox, CropBox, and TrimBox while importing the PDF
