Background: This error could be a result of corrupted framework files. Reinstalling the QuarkXPress components can often repair the frameworks. In addition, sometimes permissions can cause this error to display if the user does not have Administrator level permissions on the affected computer. In this case, the application is not able to access the Frameworks files needed in order to launch. Reinstalling as the Root user can resolve this issue, but there are cases where the Frameworks files will have to have their permissions set to Read&Write for everyone while logged in as the Root user.

If this fails to resolve the problem, determine if any font management utility was running at the time that QuarkXPress was installed. If it was, disable the font management utility and run the System Components installer again. If the problem persists, please contact Quark Technical Support for assistance.
