Image Size Changes After Copy/Paste in QuarkXPress 8

Background: This behavior is due to a rounding error in QuarkXPress 8.0 and 8.01 . The rounding error is unmasked when the Measurements preferences are set to points, picas, millimeters, or centimeters and the resolution of the image is 300 ppi. The error does not occur if the image in Photoshop is measured in pixels or inches. The width and height can vary, The rounding error occurs more often when the last digit of the height or width value is a '0.'  Here are  sample sizes that will produce this def vcccect:

  • 190x125 points
  • 145x25 mm
  • 15x18 picas
  • 5x7 cm

Please update to QuarkXPress 8.02 and above to resolve the issue.
