Animated GIFs Imported into Web Layout Fails to Play when Exported to HTML

Background:
Any GIF file imported into QuarkXPress should be imported/displayed in a box that matches the original GIFs geometry.


Solutions
In order to make GIF file play in the exported HTML:

  1. Select the picture box into which you have imported the gif file.
  2. Go to Style > Fit Box to Picture (You can also Right-Click on the box and select Fit Box to Picture).
  3. Export the layout as HTML.
