Cursor Appears in the Upper Left Corner of an Exported SWF File

Change the Default Cursor to OS in the Presentation pane of the Interactive Layout Preferences dialog. To do so:

  1. Go to QuarkXPress > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (Windows).
  2. Select the Presentation pane under Interactive Layout.
  3. In the Cursors section of the dialog, select OS in the Default drop-down menu.
  4. Export the layout as SWF

If this does not resolve your problem, you can add a Script Action to hide the cursor:

  1. In the Interactive palette, select the Scripts tab.
  2. Select Cursor > Hide in the Action drop-down menu.
  3. Export the Layout as SWF.
