How to Automatically Link Pages Inserted into the End of a Text Chain

To add pages to the end of a document and link their text boxes to the current text chain automatically:

  1. Display the page containing the last text box in the text chain.
  2. Click the automatic text box once to select it.
Note!: At least one text box in the text chain must be selected in order for the steps below to work properly.
  3. Choose Page > Insert.
  4. Specify an insertion point after the last page in the text chain.
  5. Choose a master page with an automatic text box from the Master Page pop-up menu.
  6. Check Link to Current Text Chain. Link to Current Text Chain is available only when the automatic text box on the page preceding the inserted page is active (selected), and you choose a master page with an automatic text box. This will link the automatic text box on the new page(s) to the end of the current text chain.
  7. Click OK.
